Reiki attunements
When attending a Reiki course, you get attuned by me (a Reiki master) through a simple process which opens you to receive and utilize more of the universal life force energy. The attunements have in themselves a very powerful balancing and healing effect.
During the attunement process, I place my hands over your crown, opening a channel for the universal life force energy to flow down through your body and into your hands. The Reiki attunement is a special spiritual experience for the receiver and also for the Master. Once attuned, you are able to give Reiki to yourself and others.
Reiki I
The Reiki I attunement seems to mainly benefit the physical body in opening it up to channel more Reiki energy. Once attuned, you will never lose the ability to use Reiki. In Reiki I, the history of Reiki and the hand positions are taught. A Reiki attunement takes about 10-15 minutes.
Reiki II
The Reiki II attunement seems to have the greatest effect on the subtle body and gives you an even higher possible level of energy vibration. Here you also learn three Reiki symbols: The Power Symbol, The Mental Symbol and The Distance Symbol. These can be used to help focus energy for specific purposes.
Reiki Master
This attunement is given to those who have Reiki II and wish to be able to teach and initiate others into Reiki. In this process, the vibration level of energy is once again raised and the Master symbols are taught. To become a Reiki Master one does not have to dedicate oneself to teaching others. The Reiki Master level can be taken for your own pleasure or benefit.
